Hey, it’s Mar del Corral and I’m a film director. Born in Dominican Republic, raised in Spain and with my studies in the UK, I’m a globetrotter with love for visual imagery. When I’m shooting, you can bet my Leica and Fuji cameras are by my side, ready to capture snaps. Making films is not just a job for me, it's my absolute passion.
My journey in the world of storytelling began as an actor, and along the way, I discovered directing as a way to bring honest and authentic stories to life - and I love it. For me, the best part of my job is taking on challenging projects with enthusiasm and racing alwaysss the extra mile for my clients.
I'm proud to have worked on some incredible projects. One of my recent adventures was directing Adidas's global campaign for the UEFA’s Women's Champions League. It was an absolute honor to collaborate with the brand, the soccer legend Alessandro del Piero and his incredible daughter Dorotea, who made her first on-screen appearance. Witnessing their bond and capturing their unique connection was a truly inspiring experience. Have a look here:

I also want to highlight another special project called "For Hemma," a collaboration with the talented choreographer Cristian Gonzalez. In this film, we aimed to showcase choreography in a new light and introduce acting into the performances of dancers. It was an emotional journey that resonated deeply, and I was thrilled when it received the prestigious Vimeo Staff Pick and a Ciclope award. These recognitions not only opened doors in the ad world but also gave me the opportunity to connect with a broader audience. If you wanna watch, please, click here:

Another unforgettable collaboration was with Jaime Lorente, known for his role in one of the biggest shows ever made on Netflix “Money Heist”. Empowering talent to shine on screen is my ultimate goal, and I work tirelessly to bring out the best in every performer I work with:

While I cherish every project I've been a part of, my favorites are always the ones that carry a meaningful message. For example, in this documentary-style project, we delved into issues of shame and inequality while advocating for easy access, freedom of choice, and inclusivity for trans and non-binary people, shortlisted at Cannes Festival. It's essential for me to use my work as a platform for positive change <3

Having had the privilege of working with renowned brands like Adidas and Reebok, as well as beauty giants such as Lancome, Dove, and Pantene to name a few, I'm thoroughly enjoying the journey of shooting commercials while also exploring my own narrative projects. Collaborating with esteemed agencies like McCann, Procter and Gamble, Havas, or Grey has been a true honor. I'm constantly inspired by the creative minds I get to work with.
I can't wait to share with you more exciting projects I’m currently working on. Don’t forget to check in every now and then for new stories and HMU if you are interested in working together!
